What is CTIC?

The Caribbean Tsunami Information Centre (CTIC) is a partnership initiative between the Government of Barbados and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (UNESCO/IOC). The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Barbados and the OECS also provides support to the CTIC.

The CTIC is an organ of the Intergovernmental Coordination Group for the Tsunami and Other Coastal Hazards Warning System for the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions (ICG/CARIBE EWS). The ICG/CARIBE EWS is comprised of Member States and Territories from the Caribbean and its adjacent regions, Observer Member States as well as Observer Organizations.
